Scope of Works

Precision Environmental was engaged to remove approximately 142m² of non-friable asbestos cement ceiling sheets from two classrooms at Christ the Priest Primary School in Caroline Springs.

The works were carried out during the school holidays to ensure there was no disruption to staff or students. We managed all site preparation, including installing soft barriers, laying floor protection, and covering all furniture and fixtures to keep the space safe and clean during removal.

Asbestos sheeting was removed using standard Class B procedures, with all material double-wrapped and transported to an EPA-licensed facility for disposal. A hygienist attended site after the removal to carry out a full clearance inspection.

Methodology

Our team sealed off the classrooms using soft barricading and drop sheets, taking extra care to protect all surfaces and items left in the rooms. Removal was completed using compliant, low-disturbance methods to minimise any dust or fibre movement.

Each section of asbestos was safely handled and packaged on site, then loaded directly into our enclosed transport vehicle and taken to a licensed disposal site. The work areas were cleaned thoroughly before hygienist inspection.

Outcome

The job was delivered without delay, and the site passed final clearance by an independent hygienist. All waste tracking, photographic evidence, and clearance documentation were issued to the school at handover.

This project shows our ability to complete asbestos removal in school settings safely, efficiently, and without compromising compliance.
