Precision Environmental was engaged to carry out non friable asbestos removal works at a residential property following a site inspection completed on 9 December 2025.
Before any removal works commenced, asbestos samples were taken from the suspected materials. Sampling confirmed the presence of asbestos containing materials within the fake brick cladding. This allowed us to implement the correct Class B removal procedures and notify WorkSafe Victoria accordingly.
The scope included:
- Removal of fake brick asbestos cladding around the dwelling, excluding the agreed rear section
• Optional removal of asbestos eaves around the house
• Removal of the front porch ceiling
• Removal of the garage ceiling
• Wet down of all asbestos materials prior to and during removal
• Removal of asbestos cement sheeting in full sections where safe to do so
• Careful management of any attached piping or electrical components, leaving in place where possible
• Double wrapping and labelling of all asbestos waste in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations 2017
• Segregation of asbestos waste from general waste
• Transport and disposal using an EPA licensed waste transporter
• HEPA vacuuming and wet wipe cleaning of all exposed areas upon completion
• Submission of WorkSafe Class B notification prior to commencement
• Preparation of a site specific SWMS and asbestos removal control plan
Prior to works commencing, it was confirmed that timber fencing on both sides of the property would be removed to allow safe access. Isolation of power and water services was completed by others before works began.
Compliance and Safety
All removal works were undertaken by our licensed asbestos removal team in full compliance with WorkSafe Victoria requirements and the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations 2017.
By conducting asbestos testing prior to removal and clearly defining inclusions and exclusions, the project was delivered safely, efficiently and without disruption to surrounding properties.
