We attended a property at 2 French Street, Camberwell to carry out asbestos sampling on unknown debris located on site.
The material had been identified during early stage works and required testing before any removal or clean up could proceed. In situations like this, debris is always treated as potentially contaminated until confirmed otherwise.
All sampling was completed carefully to avoid disturbance and the material was sealed and sent to a NATA accredited laboratory for analysis.
Scope of Sampling
- Loose debris material collected from site
The sample was taken in a controlled manner and securely packaged to prevent fibre release.
Laboratory Results
The debris sample returned no asbestos detected.
The material was identified as natural organic fibre and did not contain any asbestos fibres
Outcome
The client was able to proceed with general site clean up without requiring licensed asbestos removal.
This avoided unnecessary cost and allowed works to continue without delay.
Why This Matters
