Precision Environmental was brought in by Built Environs to carry out friable asbestos removal works at Mount Alexander College in Flemington. The project ran for two weeks and was completed in April 2023 as part of a broader upgrade across the school facilities.

Our team removed friable asbestos pipe lagging and associated debris from male and female toilet blocks across multiple levels. Due to the condition of the materials, strict Class A controls were in place, including full enclosures, negative pressure, and air monitoring throughout the works.

In addition to the internal removal, we also carried out targeted soil remediation around the base of affected structures where contaminated debris had built up over time. All asbestos waste and impacted soil was safely removed and disposed of at EPA-approved facilities.

The works were completed under our Class A asbestos licence and followed all WorkSafe Victoria protocols for friable asbestos. The site was fully cleared by an independent hygienist before handover.

If you’re managing a complex asbestos removal project with friable materials or subgrade contamination, Precision Environmental has the team, equipment, and licences to get it done properly.
