Precision Environmental was engaged by Rhino The Wrecker to deliver a full hazardous material removal package at Watsonia Primary School ahead of a major school redevelopment. The job ran for just over three months and was completed in May 2024.
Our scope included the removal of asbestos cement (AC) cladding from the school’s external structures, internal vinyl floor tiles, and insulated ductwork throughout multiple buildings. We also carried out the excavation and disposal of asbestos-contaminated subsoil around footings and underground services.
All works were performed under our Class A and B licences, with strict controls in place across multiple work zones to keep the site safe and compliant. We worked closely with the demolition crew and hygienist to stage the works and keep things moving without delay.
The final clearance inspection was passed with no issues, and the site was handed over ready for rebuild.
If you’re preparing a school, childcare centre, or community site for demolition or upgrade, Precision Environmental offers full hazardous material removal packages that are safe, thorough, and fully compliant with EPA and WorkSafe Victoria standards.
