Precision Environmental was engaged by Built Environs to carry out asbestos removal works at the Fawkner Leisure Centre during the demolition of the community pool facility. The project ran over three weeks and was completed in early April 2024.

Our team removed asbestos cement sheet cladding from internal wall linings, along with asbestos pipe lagging located around the pool areas. Because the works were carried out in wet zones, we implemented full slip control measures and used wet methods to manage dust and minimise airborne fibres.

All works were completed under our Class B asbestos licence and followed strict WorkSafe Victoria and EPA guidelines. The job was fully documented and packaged for handover to both the local council and the head contractor.

This job required coordination around demolition crews and careful control of hazards in high-moisture areas, but it was delivered safely and without delays.

If you’re managing a demolition or refurbishment involving asbestos in wet or public-use facilities, Precision Environmental can handle it, safely, efficiently, and with full compliance.
